Liana Akobian

I am a PhD student in Alex Cayco-Gajic lab at PSL-ENS (École Normale Supérieure) funded by an EDSC fellowship.

I want to understand and characterize non-normal neural dynamics, especially in the context of working memory and decision making. My approach is to develop computational and data-driven tools and I am currently working on SchurMO, a tool for identifying connectivity motifs within recurrent weights.

My broader research interests include computational neuroscience, machine learning, AI ethics and I also have a thing for tiny worm brains 🪱
